Boston and Beyond--Fall Vacation

We all headed out east for a week to see grandparents and friends. Below is a hefty chronology of some of the highlights.

We started out at Brown University, alma mater of Daddy. Here, in front of the Van Wickle gates, which open twice a year.

Where there's a lawn, Bear is a constant gardener.

Bear admires the bust of John Hay. Many touch the nose for luck.

Watching the Yankees with Daddy, Granddaddy, and Willie.

We then headed to Mommy's alma mater, here on the quad in front of Cabot House.

And on the steps of the mighty Widener library.

We went to the Boston Children's museum.

She really likes water....

...but refused to wear a smock.

Checkmate.

Quality programming.

Tired out.

Giving Grandma the eye.

And then the smooch.

Mommy and Daddy on their way to a grand event.

Brunch with many old friends, including Julie and Jacob Mandell, and their new baby, Baylor, held by Grandma.

Onto another, bigger event.

A visit from Uncle Golding is always fun.

Bear showing off her new outfit for Grandpa.

At a nice brunch with the recently-married Brian.

Enjyoing an afternoon in Boston Common.

Again, when there's a lawn....

Hanging on the deck.

Chillin'.

More academic haunts, getting a good look at Harkness Dormitory at Yale Med.

With Mommy at the Sterling Hall of Medicine.

And then we visited Aunt Una and Uncle Yiorgos and her 6 month old, Thalia.

Hanging out with the veritable Uncle Lexy, and his girlfriend Hank.

Sad to see Willie get hauled away.

And the vacation was over.
